Sick

Evelyn got sent home from school yesterday due to being sick. Her head hurt and she had a fever. That morning she said her head, throat, and stomach hurt but did not have a fever, ate a huge (huge for her) breakfast, and was acting fine so I sent her to school. Got a call from the nurse about 12 said Evelyn had been to her office but did not have a fever and told her to come back if she felt bad still. About 2, I told Brian Evelyn must be doing fine since I have not heard from the nurse-and then the phone rang. Yep, Evelyn was back to the nurse and was running a 99.6 now so it was going up. I went and got her-the other choice was her to stay with the nurse the rest of the day but why would I do that since I stay home?!?!? She rested the rest of the day and was tired at bed but was acting fine. This morning she woke up, no fever, felt fine, ate breakfast and then mentioned her throat her a little. I called the doctor and got a 9 am appt. Turns out the little darling has strep! This is only the second time any of my kids have had strep-Kylie was the first in December and that turned into mono! So as the other three children are taking their last dose of antibiotics for their ear infections, the oldest is taking her first day of antibiotics due to strep....
